QuickEx has been running instant, no-account crypto swaps since 2018 — one of the longer-lived services of its kind, and a familiar name to anyone who moves in and out of Monero. It supports 400+ assets, aggregates liquidity for competitive rates, runs an official Tor address, and keeps Monero front and center even as larger platforms have walked away from XMR.
We put ten questions to QuickEx’s Chief Marketing Officer — covering first-time swaps, fixed versus floating rates, private swaps, the Monero specifics (confirmations, limits, FCMP++), how AML/KYC actually works, data retention, and Tor. The answers below are the company’s own, lightly edited for formatting.
Crypto moves fast, but the main reason we’ve been here for over 8 years comes down to two simple things: trust and simplicity.
When we launched back in 2018, the crypto landscape was messy. People didn’t want to create an account, upload IDs, and wait three days just to swap Bitcoin for Ethereum. We stepped in with a very clear promise: fast, non-custodial swaps without forced registration. We don’t hold customer funds, which means users stay in full control of their assets at all times.
Since the early days, the platform has evolved dramatically behind the scenes. We started with just a handful of major coins and manual or semi-automated liquidity backends. Today, QuickEx is a fully automated, high-speed exchange hub. We support over 400 assets, aggregate liquidity from multiple top venues to guarantee the best rates, offer dedicated Tor access, and integrate directly into popular Web3 wallets like SafePal, Unstoppable Wallet, P.Cash, Cake Wallet, Coinomi, Bitcoin.com, Digital Shield, and others. What hasn’t changed, though, is our core mindset: click, swap, done.
Using an instant exchange for the first time is actually much easier than using a traditional exchange. Here is what a swap looks like in four easy steps:
- Get ready & check your coins. Have the crypto you want to exchange in your personal wallet, and copy the receiving address where you want your new coins delivered. You can also use our Free AML Check option before starting a swap to verify your address or funds and ensure a completely smooth exchange process. To check your wallet address, simply contact our Support Service via Chat/Telegram.
- Set up the trade. Go to QuickEx, select the asset you’re sending (e.g., USDT) and the asset you want to receive (e.g., BTC). Paste your receiving address in the destination box.
- Send the deposit. QuickEx will show you a unique deposit address and QR code. Open your personal wallet and send the exact amount to that address.
- Receive your funds. As soon as the blockchain confirms your deposit, our automated engine processes the swap and sends the new coins straight to your receiving wallet.
The most common mistake first-timers make? Selecting the wrong network or forgetting a required memo/tag. For instance, sending USDT on Solana to an Ethereum (ERC-20) deposit address, or forgetting to include a Destination Tag when swapping XRP or TON. Always double-check that the network you choose on QuickEx matches the network in your wallet!
Both rate types have clear advantages depending on what you’re doing:
- Floating Rate (0.5% fee). This is the best choice for most everyday swaps. The exchange rate recalculates when your deposit actually arrives on the blockchain. Because the market can move slightly during block confirmation time, your final payout might be slightly higher or lower than the estimate. But since the fee is lower (0.5%), you usually save money — especially during calm market conditions or when swapping stablecoins.
- Fixed Rate (1.0% fee). This freezes your exact exchange rate for 10 to 15 minutes. No matter how wildly the market moves while your transaction is confirming on-chain, you receive the exact amount shown on your screen.
When to use which? Use Floating if you want the lowest fees, are swapping stablecoins, or aren’t worried about small price fluctuations. Use Fixed if the market is moving fast, if you’re trading volatile altcoins, or if you need an exact amount delivered to pay a bill or complete an invoice.
A Private Swap is designed for users who want to break on-chain linkability between their sending wallet and their receiving wallet.
In a standard swap, advanced blockchain analytics tools can sometimes link your deposit address to your output address by matching transaction times and amounts on public ledgers. When you choose a Private Swap, you pay a slightly higher fee because our backend executes a multi-layered obfuscation process:
- It splits and routes your transaction through intermediary pools and independent liquidity chains.
- It severs direct heuristics and timing correlations between the incoming and outgoing transactions.
Does Monero play a role? No, Monero is not part of the Private Swap routing stack. Private Swaps achieve privacy entirely through multi-layered pool splitting, independent liquidity routing, and transaction decorrelation across our backend infrastructure — without routing through XMR.
Monero is hugely important to us and forms a core part of our platform’s DNA.
Over the last few years, as traditional centralized exchanges (CEXs) delisted XMR due to regulatory friction, privacy-conscious users turned to instant non-custodial platforms like QuickEx. Rather than tracking fixed volume percentages, our focus is on offering the absolute best rates on the market for key Monero pairs like BTC–XMR, XMR–USDT, and ETH–USDT.
We’ve seen steady, strong growth in XMR swaps because people still need a reliable, hassle-free way to move in and out of Monero with maximum liquidity and zero friction. We are proud to remain a dependable bridge for the Monero community.
We love getting into the technical details!
- Confirmations. We require 10 confirmations on XMR deposits. That’s the standard on the Monero network to ensure funds are completely unlocked and safe from re-orgs (typically takes around 20 minutes).
- Limits. Our minimum order size is dynamic and tied to network/miner costs — usually around $10–$20 equivalent so that network fees don’t swallow the user’s funds. On the maximum side, our aggregated liquidity pools allow single swaps worth tens of thousands of dollars.
- Largest swap. We routinely handle large whale transactions — our liquidity engine has smoothly processed single XMR swaps exceeding $300,000+ without slipping the market.
- FCMP++ upgrade. Absolutely. Our developer team tracks Monero core developments closely. FCMP++ (Full-Chain Membership Proofs) will be a massive upgrade for Monero’s ring signature scale and anonymity set. Our node infrastructure and wallet engines are already being prepared so that when FCMP++ goes live, our users won’t experience a single second of downtime.
Transparency on AML/KYC is vital:
- Percentage. Over 99.9% of our swaps process without any verification. KYC checks are triggered automatically only when our risk-scoring engine flags an incoming transaction associated with known high-risk activity (e.g., ransomware, major exchange hacks, darknet markets, or sanctioned addresses).
- Refund policy. If a transaction is flagged and the user prefers not to pass verification, our policy is straightforward: we return the funds back to the original sender address (minus network fees), provided there isn’t an explicit law-enforcement freeze order. We don’t trap user funds.
- Pre-checking with support. 100% yes! We strongly encourage users — especially those transferring large amounts or handling coins from P2P platforms or legacy wallets — to reach out to our 24/7 live support before creating an order. Our team can run a quick pre-check on the transaction parameters to ensure everything goes smoothly without surprises.
We practice strict data minimization. We only log what is absolutely required to execute the trade and assist the user if a blockchain delay happens:
- Deposit/payout wallet addresses
- Transaction hashes (TXIDs)
- Order status and timestamps
We do not build user profiles or track browsing habits.
Order logs are retained for a brief operational window (usually 30 days) solely so support can resolve potential network issues or refund claims. After that, logs are automatically purged. Furthermore, if a user finishes a swap and wants their order record wiped immediately, they can simply message support with their Order ID and request a manual data wipe right then and there.
We launched our official onion service because we believe network-level privacy is just as important as on-chain privacy. An official Tor address ensures that users living under restrictive ISPs, regional firewalls, or strict censorship can still access financial services securely without revealing their real IP address.

Tips for smooth swaps over Tor:
- Bookmark the official .onion domain. Avoid searching for onion links on random forums to protect yourself from phishing sites.
- Save your Order ID immediately. Network circuits on Tor can occasionally reset or drop. If you take a screenshot or write down your Order ID when you create the swap, you can easily check its progress or contact support even if your browser session refreshes.
- Use standard Tor Browser settings. Avoid adding custom browser extensions that could compromise your anonymity or break the page scripts needed to generate QR codes.
We have a packed roadmap ahead!
- DApp & wallet integrations. Following our integration into popular Web3 wallet stores, we are expanding native swap integration into several prominent mobile and browser self-custody wallets.
- Private Swap 2.0. We are upgrading our routing engine to make Private Swaps even faster while lowering execution fees.
- Platform & partner dashboard redesign. We are launching a full redesign of our homepage and partner cabinet, alongside updated terms for referral rewards, VIP statuses, and cashback.
- Refreshed API & SDK for developers. We’re rolling out an updated SDK for affiliates, Telegram bots, and crypto platforms that want to embed instant QuickEx swaps directly into their apps and earn revenue shares.
Stay tuned — there’s a lot of great tech landing very soon!
QuickEx is listed in the Monerica directory. This interview was conducted over written questions and the answers are QuickEx’s own. Nothing here is financial advice — always confirm the network and receiving address before you swap, and consider a small test amount on your first trade.
